Mihrimah Sultan Mosque
Located on the Üsküdar waterfront with a stunning view of the Bosphorus, the Mihrimah Sultan Mosque is one of the most elegant works of the great Ottoman architect Mimar Sinan. Built in 1548 for Mihrimah Sultan, the daughter of Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent, the mosque is admired for its graceful simplicity, spacious courtyard, and serene atmosphere. At sunset, its silhouette merging with the Bosphorus view offers one of the most poetic scenes that capture the true spirit of Istanbul.
