Aya Triada Church – Heybeliada
One of the most significant landmarks of Heybeliada, Aya Triada Church—meaning “Holy Trinity”—is located on one of the island’s hilltops within the grounds of the Halki Seminary. Built in 1844 during the Patriarchate of Germanos IV, the church reflects refined Byzantine architectural influences and holds a prominent place in the island’s religious and cultural history.
Situated at the heart of the historic seminary where many Orthodox clergy were educated, the church stands out with its cross-shaped layout, dome, and elegant stonework. Today, it welcomes visitors not only as a sacred place of worship but also as a symbol of Heybeliada’s rich spiritual and historical heritage.
📍 Visitor Information: The church is located within the Halki Seminary complex and can be visited on specific days with guided tours.
